É um concurso mundial que se realiza pela 15ª vez, este ano subordinado ao tema “Desertos e Desertificação”; nós participámos neste concurso, com os trabalhos a seguir apresentados. Para além dos tentadores prémios, os trabalhos vencedores serão expostos nos websites de UNEP e FGPE e haverá exposições no Japão e nos outros países. Os trabalhos seleccionados serão usados para cartazes, postais, calendários, ou em folhetos ou revistas ambientais que serão distribuídos por todo o mundo. Depois do concurso, todos os trabalhos submetidos ao concurso mundial serão guardados no Museu Nacional de Etnologia, em Ozaka, Japão e os desenhos estarão disponíveis através da Internet. The International Children's Painting Competition on the Environment is organized annually by the official sponsors: the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Japan-based Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE) Bayer AG and Nikon Corporation, also supported by National Museum of Ethnology ( Japan ), Japanese Ministries of the Environment, Foreign Affairs, Education, Forestry & Fisheries and Japan-Arab Association. There are also Regional partners. This year's is the fifteenth and will focus on the theme of Deserts and Desertification. We took part in this competition and you can watch our drawings, clicking on the button. Winning paintings will be exhibited in the websites of UNEP and FGPE, and exhibitions are to be held throughout Japan as well as in the other countries. Also selected paintings will be used for posters, post cards, calendars, or in a picture booklet or environmental magazines to be distributed worldwide. After the competition, all paintings submitted to the global competition will be stored in the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka , Japan and will be accessible through the internet.
